Credit Help

We've designed this Credit Help section for those looking to improve, or establish credit. If your credit is in need of repair then please follow the link to the debt relief section. Those establishing credit need only keep this in mind... Always finance just a little bit more than the last time.

We're not saying to finance yourself broke, but to simply demonstrate your ability to make increasingly larger payments on time. Credit Card Applications here.

The philosophy behind this statement is simple. Just say you make monthly payments on your credit card for 5 years and your payments are about $75 per month. Even though you made timely payments, they won't qualify you for for financing on a $700 per month mortgage payment.

Somewhere down the road you need to finance a vehicle of some sort. These payments are usually $250 - $300 per month and make a great stepping stone towards a mortgage payment. By demonstrating the ability to make these larger payments over time you now solidify your payment history or credit report.

Another way to increase your credit score is to add more credit accounts. Two or three small revolving accounts with $20 - $40 monthly payments look great once they have been paid off. Remember to keep these balances low and always make your payments on time. Pay the cards off and close the accounts after a year or so and watch your score rise.

New credit is the most fun to build and usually can be done slowly and over time. By starting small and working your way up naturally will build the best credit possible. New credit builders generally don't need the credit right away. They can start slowly with one department store card and then work their way up the ladder. By the time they actually need the credit to buy a car or home it's usually just right assuming all their bills were paid on time.

Building credit is challenging but well worth the effort. We offer help and all the information we possibly can in order to help you build better credit.
